I am a multi-skilled design and sustainability enthusiast who loves all life on Earth. However, the core of everything I do is rooted in virtues I live by, more so than my skills. Virtues constitute a good life, while skills are means to an end. Each day I identify and modify my behavior and actions in response to new information and unexpected changes.

I strive to be better than the day before but I am not immune to failure. I’ve read somewhere that a mistake that makes you humble is much better than an achievement that makes you arrogant, and it resonated. That is why I strive to promote a safe environment to make mistakes in, and foster an attitude of winning or learning, but never losing.

I encourage dialog and flow of ideas that evolve into new possibilities and solutions. Collaboration provides a sense of ownership, equality and equity among teams. The sum of all differences makes any team stronger and unstoppable when it comes to success and competitive edge. Diversity feels familiar and comfortable.

When problem solving, I focus on the human factor whether that of a peer, business partner or our guest. I believe that the human factor has to be at the forefront of innovation as it helps us hone in on the bigger context of what we do, why we do it and how we do it.
